GLOBAL BEATS is Pittsburgh's entity of world music and multiculturalism, featuring lounge and dance music from countries around the world, juxtaposing Caribbean music with pulsating grooves from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and United States.

Global Beats is a glimpse into the future. This upbeat, grass-roots movement features traditional and underground hot blends of world dance and lounge rhythms. The constant fusion of beats creates a wide spectrum of music introducing the audience to one unique night of entertainment and international ambiance.

Working with various ethnic communities and music groups, Global Beats is dedicated to the livelihood of world music and the exchange of culture by creating special theme nights such as: Brazilian Carnaval, Gypsy and Arabic Grooves or Afro-Latin Party. Occasional evenings with the Brazilian  " Timbeleza " percussion group or the “Gypsy Strings” bring the charming essence of live music.

By creating awareness and fun around world music and cultural diversity in a welcoming environment where being different is being equal, Global Beats hopes to foster connection and understanding between the all the unique people that call Pittsburgh “home.”
